BENEFITING: HOWARD HOSPITAL FOUNDATION INC
HOURS PLEDGED: 5
I am a member of TEAM CONQUER which benefits the CLAUDIA MAYER CANCER RESOURCE CENTER. It is the only cancer center of it's kind in Howard County and likely the entire state of Maryland. The center's doors remain open solely on fund raising dollars. Please, if you have a moment sometime, visit the center and take a tour. It is an amazing place filled with amazing people! If you, or someone you know has been diagnosed with any type of cancer, you may be a recipient of their services or utilize their resources. I plan to do what it takes to go the distance for those with cancer! The center assists in making the journey as managable as possible with professional knowledge and loving support and encouragement.
Located on the hospital campus in the new Medical Pavilion at 10710 Charter Drive, Suite G050 (Garden Level), our Center hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm and Tuesday evenings until 7:00pm.
My part in all of this:
I will be a participant in 3 major Iron Girl events this year, once completed, I will be awarded the title of 2013 Triple Crown Iron Girl Finisher! The events are as follows:
1 - Sunday, April 28, 2013 - Athleta Iron Girl 1/2 marathon (13.1 miles) around Columbia, MD
2 - Sunday, August 18, 2013 - TriColumbia Athleta Iron Girl Triathlon; Columbia, MD (.62 mi swim, 17.5 mi bike, 3.4 mi run)
3 - Sunday, September 8, 2013 - Tricolumbia Athleta Iron Girl Rocky Gap Triathlon, Flintstone, MD (.5 mi swim, 16 mi bike, 3 mi run)
You may donate online directly on this website, write a check, send me a note of encouragement or come out on race day to see me cross the finish line. Any and all options are appreciated. If you prefer to write a check, please make checks payable to HHF/Team Conquer (AND, please write my name in your memo line - Joanne Alioto), then mail the check to my home and I will deliver it to the Howard Hospital Foundation.

...I was truly humbled to be in the presence of my team mates in 2012 and 2013 1/2 marathon who are cancer survivors and still find it in themselves to compete in these strenuous events.
