EVENT DATE: Jan 15, 2013
Kevin Dabney a scratch golfer (nearly a pro) with a putting green in his Scottsdale back yard challenged Keith Theisen a 27 handicap from the tundra of Minnesota (who has never taken a golf lesson) to a match to determine who possesses the greater golfing prowess. The event will be held at the Las Vegas Golf Club on January 15, 2013 at High Noon.
This is no ordinary challenge. This is a challenge of significant pride and will be an epic battle on the links – Keith Theisen and his 26 clubs (mostly legal) and Kevin Dabney with his lonely 7 iron. Apparently Keith can use anything in his bag and Kevin is limited to his single golf club. Scoring format will be Stroke Play and both golfers will have to putt everything out – no gimmies! All other limitations will be governed by "USGA Theisen rules”.
Let’s raise some money for the players’ charity of choice: St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. All proceeds will be given as a donation to this deserving organization.
Be sure and leave a special motivational note to Kevin when you donate.
