For the 2013 AT&T Walk For The Future presented by Image One, we've partnered with CrowdRise to encourage supporters of the Boys & Girls Club to join together to make a difference in the community. Just imagine the impact we will have in a fun and compelling way!
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Oakland & Macomb Counties serves over 2400 Club members age 6-18 through locations in Oakland and Macomb Counties.
The goal of the Club is to inspire and enable all young people to realize their full potential as productive, caring and responsible citizens.
Open after school during the school year and during the day during the summer months, the Club provides the perfect destination for kids of single and working parents.
The Clubs offer programs in 5 core areas including:
- Character & Leadership Development
- The Arts
- Health & Life Skills
- Sports & Fitness
- Education and Career Development
100% of our members graduate from high school, 0% of our members have become pregnant or caused a pregnancy. Our members avoid negative contact with law enforcement.
Our club has been recognized at the highest levels for the quality of the programs offered to members. Our Club has been fortunate to havefour members have the opportunity to meet with the President of the United States as part of the youth of the year program.
51% of alumni achieved a higher level of education than they thought possible because of attending the Club.
57% of alumni said the Club saved their life. The Boys & Girls Club is changing lives every day because of support from people like yourself.
