Hi, I'm Buck-O. I'm a really handsome yellow lab with a pretty cool dad. On June 8, 2014, my dad and I drove from Bakersfield CA to Cincinnati OH for an operation that saved my life. You see I was born with a congenital heart condition called tricuspid (heart) valve dysplasia and frequent ventricular arrhythmias.
Not to toot my own horn or anything, but I was the first pooch to undergo cadiac ablation for ventricular arrhythmia. This really swell lady at MedVet in Cincinnati by the name of Dr. Kathy Wright is the only surgeon in the country trained to perform this surgery.
My dad and I are lucky... he's had a great job for many years and was able to pay for this journey and surgery. However, while we were traveling we met several families who would not have been able to save their pet's life. Which is why, we are raising money for Brown Dog Foundation.
Our hope is that every canine and feline who needs life-saving treatment will receive it. Please vote for me to win the Crown of Top Dog 2014. You vote by making a donation using that big orange button the right. Every dollar donated counts as one vote. Be generous now... there are lots of puppies and kitties depending on us!
