BENEFITING: LAZAREX CANCER FOUNDATION
ORGANIZER: LAZAREX CANCER FOUNDATION
Wish us luck! Jackson and I have decided to participate in the San Francisco ½ Marathon on July 26th. We will be running (and walking some I am sure!) on behalf of Lazarex Cancer Foundation. Lazarex is an amazing organization that helps end-stage cancer patients identify their clinical trial options and provides financial assistance with the costs for FDA clinical trial participation. Lazarex helps patients of all ages and with all forms of cancer who have been told that there is no standard treatment that will help them. As some of you may know, I have volunteered full time with Lazarex for the past 4 years. I have witnessed first-hand the life extending work with which Lazarex assists, and we are honored to participate in the SF ½ on their behalf.
Jackson and I will also be doing the run in honor of my Dad and Jackson’s Papa, Bob Boitano. It is 21 years ago this July that my Dad successfully battled cancer. He was 58 years old and perfectly healthy otherwise, but cancer doesn’t consider your age or health as we all know. I am so grateful for my Dad’s medical care and that he has been able to watch both of our kids grow these past 21 years. Just as my work at Lazarex is in his honor, so is this race to support Lazarex. If you would like to join us in honoring “Mr. B”, you can click the "Donate" button on this page.
