BENEFITING: JOHN C LINCOLN HEALTH FOUNDATION
EVENT DATE: Aug 08, 2015
Finding out your loved one has breast cancer is overwhelming for a child.
To help them, the HonorHealth Breast Health and Research Center has created Coping Kids Bags. Valley residents Sean Gage, 16, and Ian Beaty, 24, are participating in the 2015 Alcatraz Sharkfest Swim in San Francisco on August 8 with a goal of raising $10,000 for these bags. They will join 798 other participants to cross the shark-infested waters of San Francisco Bay to Alcatraz. It’s Sean’s fourth Alcatraz swim and Ian’s first.
The Coping Kids Bags contain materials including books about parents with cancer, workbooks to help kids deal with their emotions, video games that zap cancer cells, and other items.
If you’d like to help Sean and Ian reach their $10,000 goal for the Breast Health and Research Center, please donate generously now.
