I can't believe that this is my 12th year doing the PMC. This is my 12 year anniversary of being cancer free. It feels like yesterday and at the same time, a lifetime ago. I have been able to live and enjoy the best time of my life since beating cancer. I want to say thank you to all my friends and family for all the support that was given to me when I was sick, and now I want to do my part to give back to those to who are fighting the fight now.
Every family in one way or another has been or will be touched by cancer. As a Dad, I want to make sure that treatments are more successful and that they are less painful not only for my boys but for everyone's children. I realize there are many others out there who need or will need all that the Dana Farber Institute offers. To see some amazing stories on the PMC and the Jimmy fund check out the PMC.org website.
As we bike 194 miles across Massachusetts, I ask for your support in reaching my pledged goal, so that Dana Farber can continue fighting this deadly disease of Cancer. I am so grateful for all of the care and concern Dana Farber has shown me and my family during my many months of treatment. It is an amazing place and we are so lucky to have it here in Boston and the satellite treatment centers area thought out the communities.
I am very proud to tell you that 100% of your donations go directly to the Jimmy fund. We (the PMC) raise over 50% of all of the money for the Jimmy fund each year. This is the largest and most successful fundraiser. With the economy being what it is, it is more important than ever to make sure we work together to continue the research and programs for these kids. Thanks you for your help and support.
If you would like to send me someone’s name that you would like to have their name on my back to honor them. Please send me their name by July 28th so I will have the put all together.
