In the last 3 years I've lost 3 great friends to cancer - all far too young. Incredible mentors, who shaped the way I think; who helped me learn to see past blinders, and opened my eyes to incredible beauty in this world. They were also fathers, mothers, husbands, wives, and teachers.
I can't stand to feel helpless and hopeless. One of the ways I've dealt with the anger and sadness of these losses has been by getting on my bike and just riding. When an old friend asked for a donation to his Pan Mass Challenge ride 2 years ago - I saw a unique opportunity. Now it's my turn to pedal for The Jimmy Fund/Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
As a kid, like so many I dreamt of being a professional athlete & making millions of dollars. I'm so grateful for the opportunity to put on a jersey, ride with a team - and help the Boston Bruins Foundation Pan Mass Challenge Team raise millions more for Dana Farber.
100% of your donation will benefit The Jimmy Fund/Dana Farber - the Bruins & corporate sponsors handle the overhead! #hockeyfightscancer
