BENEFITING: THE IRONMAN FOUNDATION
ORGANIZER: THE IRONMAN FOUNDATION
EVENT: TEAM IMF
EVENT DATE: Nov 15, 2015
I'm honored to be a part of the IRONMAN Foundation's TEAM IMF to compete in IRONMAN Arizona November 15th. My challenge will be to swim 2.4 miles, bike 112 miles and run 26.2 miles, for a total distance of 140.6 miles. My greatest challenge though, will be raising $3,000 as a TEAM IMF member. Please join me in giving back and helping others who are less fortunate.
All money raised through the TEAM IMF program will benefit organizations in the 51 communities where IRONMAN events are held. The Foundation provides charitable support and grant funding opportunities to local and national non-profit organizations. Some examples include: Big Brothers Big Sisters, American Heart Association, United Food Bank, Blazeman Foundation for ALS, Make a Wish, Challenged Athlete Foundation, Lucky Dog Rescue, First Responders. The IRONMAN Foundation has provided nearly $30 million dollars to non-profit beneficiaries world wide. In just Arizona last year, the 100 beneficiary categories were distributed between: Blazeman Foundation/ALS 3%, Challenged Athletes Foundation 3%, Youth Education 10%, Community Initiatives 11%, Non Profit with a Health Focus 15%, Local Underserved Population Initiatives 18%, Youth Athletics/Additional Programming 40%.
I would be honored if you can join me in this effort to reach my goal to provide financial support to so many deserving non-profit orgnizations. The entire $3,000 goes to organizations supported by the IRONMAN Foundation and none of it is used for expenses related to my event participation or training.
I'm super excited and I'm training hard. Thank you so much for your support!
