(Update: Wow! Thrilled and sincerely humbled for all the donations! Thank you! Xie Xie!!)
Excited for this team event with my awesome "foRUNsics" colleagues, to do this in the beauty of the bay area (SF to Calistoga!), and for a great local based charity for youth. I kick off leg 1 in SF (woo hoo!), have 1 in the middle of the night (3am) and then a late afternoon scorcher. With all the running, PT and pilates I've done as of late - I'm ready to go!
Appreciate your support - monetarily, funny jokes, songs for my playlist, or just to send good vibes! Let's hope I can get some sleep inbetween running and driving a giant van.
More info from our team:
A Ragnar Relay is a 200 mile relay race. 12 people from PwC have decided that they can run this race together. We'll start in San Francisco and run to Calistoga. We'll run continuously, starting on Friday morning, October 23rd, running through the night, and finishing sometime on Saturday evening, October 24th. Some of us are not very natural runners, and this will be the longest distance that many of us have ever run for one event. Yeah, you could say we're a bit crazy.
We're excited to be raising money for Larkin Street Youth Services. This is a San Francisco based charity that helps homeless youth. Here's a blurb from their website:
The mission of Larkin Street Youth Services is to create a continuum of services that inspires youth to move beyond the street. "We will nurture potential, promote dignity, and support bold steps by all." To learn more about their organization, visit http://www.larkinstreetyouth.org
