THE STORY:

Dear Family and Friends,

I decided to do the Susan Komen, Rappel for the Cure event in Hartford because I wanted to do an activity that will challenge me both physically and mentally.  I know first-hand what people with cancer go through. I had family members and friends, who battled cancer and passed away from this awful disease.  Therefore, my fundraiser goal is to raise $1,000 by October 9th. All proceeds will help finally find a cure for breast cancer.

If I meet my fundraiser goal, I will get a chance to overcome my fear of heights. On October 16, 2015, I could be one of the lucky people to rappel 14-stories down the side of State House Square in Harford to support the local fight against breast cancer. Rappel for the Cure, a partnership with Over the Edge, is Komen Connecticut’s newest Fundraising event. It is geared toward the fearless or those looking to overcome their fears.  I hope that you will consider supporting me in this adventure!

I would appreciate any support that you can give me, as I rappel down the edge of State House Square!  Wish me luck :)

Thanks,

Tracy
