EVENT DATE: Aug 22, 2015
Bridges to Independence, formally known as Arlington-Alexandria Coalition for the Homeless, is Northern Virginia’s leading provider of services for homeless women/families and those at risk. Bridges to Independence (b2i) does much more than offer housing to homeless individuals - the staff and volunteers work tirelessly to provide tutoring and educational programs, childcare, job readiness assistance, permanent housing and relocation services, fitness and health programs, and much, much more.
The ultimate goal of b2i is not only to reduce poverty in the Arlington, VA community, but to prevent it from occuring in the first place. Each and every client at b2i is provided with personal ongoing assistance to help them reach independence and maintain a self-sufficient lifestyle.
Now, Bridges to Independence is getting ready for BACK TO SCHOOL! In its 10th year, the Look Cool for School program has helped hundreds of at-risk kids go back to school with a new outfit and backpack. You can help the Deloitte team sponsor a student, sending him back to school with confidence and style.
Deloitte has a long-standing partnership with Bridges to Independence, with a team of over 70 volunteers providing thousands of hours in service to b2i each year. As a strong supporter of b2i's mission and with deep personal connections to the clients and staff, the Deloitte volunteer team has adopted a student.
Please donate to help send our 18 year-old male student back to high school!
