The Story

EVENT DATE: Aug 16, 2015

After a successful inaugural event last August, we are excited to welcome you to the 2015 Detroit Triathlon! This event will be like no other triathlon in the region, providing a festival of racing opportunities for athletes of all abilities. Age groupers, from beginners to weekend warriors, will have an opportunity to race like the pros; and talent from the country will descend on Detroit to gain a chance to earn their USAT Elite Cards.

Team Joseph is a non-profit organization dedicated to funding cutting edge research to find a treatment or cure for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Duchenne is one of the most fatal and progressive types of Muscular Dystrophy so it's so important that we continue to fund research! Currently there is no treatment.

As one way to raise money, some fantastic Team Joseph supporters have committed to running the Detroit Triathlon on Belle Isle taking place on August 16th! These amazing people are asking friends, family and anyone who can give, to help them as they train and fundraise for a cause near to their hearts!

Together we will defeat Duchenne.
