2015 Team U Yale Half-Marathon
EVENT DATE: Feb 22, 2015
Team U is the first and only intercollegiate fundraising endurance team. Last year was our first half-marathon as a Yale Chapter, and we were able to raise over 11,000 dollars. This year, Team U runners from the Yale University Chapter will be participating in the NYC Runs Central Park Half Marathon again to continue raising money for the construction of Shoe4Africa's children's hospital in Eldoret, Kenya, which will be the largest children's hospital in Africa when complete. Toby Tanser, the founder of Shoe4Africa, came to campus talk to Team U members about the progress of the hospital and his plans for expanding his global health projects in East Africa. For more information, visit http://www.shoe4africa.org/hospital. Every donation, whether it's $10 or $1000, makes a huge difference both to our runners as they challenge themselves to complete the race, and more importantly to the children halfway across the world who have no access to pediatric health care. Thanks so much for your support!
