BENEFITING: Angel Charity For Children Inc
Dear Friends of Angel Charity for Children, Inc.,
We are pleased to share that over the past 33 years, through the generosity of our individual donors, foundations and corporate partners we have positively impacted the lives of over one million children in our community through the donation of over 24 million dollars. Thanks to the support of our loyal donors and dedicated volunteers, we are beginning another year of improving the lives of children in Pima County! This year Angel Charity will partner with four non- profit organizations and fund $817,854 to accomplish the following:
Imago Dei Middle School - Funding in the amount of $600,000 will allow this organization to exercise an expiring option and provide the down payment toward the purchase of their existing 25,258 square foot school building directly across from the Ronstadt Transit Center. This multicultural middle school (eight languages are spoken) provides a tuition-free education to children in grades 5-8 from low-income Tucson families. Children often begin at grade 5 at far below grade level but with the 10:1 student teacher ratio, two meals a day to feed their bodies and ten hours a day of teaching and enrichment activities to feed their minds, these students are able to successfully move on to high school and college and break the cycle of poverty for not only themselves, but for their families as well.
Educational Enrichment Foundation - A gift in the amount of $148,150 will be used as two-year funding for Interscholastic Scholarships for TUSD Middle and High School students in poverty who otherwise would not be able to participate in extracurricular activities. These activities include school sports teams and fine arts activities like band, orchestra, dance, choir and academic competitive teams including Mock Trial and Future Business Leaders of America. St. John the
Evangelist Catholic School - The School will be funded $49,704 to purchase one (1) desktop computer and five (5) Chromebooks for the 15 home rooms. The school (PreK-8th grade) is located in the south side of Tucson and currently serves 370 children from low-income families.
Nourish - Funding $20,000 to help children with feeding challenges receive direct nutrition and feeding therapy in the early critical stages of growth and development to enable them to eat, grow, thrive and avoid long term delays.
The needs of children in our community are greater than ever. We ask that you join us in helping these well-deserving organizations by contributing to our campaign. Thank you for your consideration of Angel Charity and this year's beneficiaries. Together we can make a difference in children's lives to positively impact our entire community.
