I recently joined the THP RUNS team and will be running the Jamestown Half Marathon in September on behalf of The Herren Project. The Herren Project's 'mission is to provide assistance in taking the first steps toward recovery and a life of sobriety, educational programs and resources to increase awareness on the signs of addiction and bring hope for a better tomorrow'.
The Herren Project provides...
- Treatment Navigation for individuals and families
- Mentoring and Recovery Coaching once treatment is completed, providing additional support
- Scholarships to clinics and camps for kids
- Preventative Education and support through Project Purple sites across the country
I am running with The Herren Project in memory of my brother, Eric, who passed away in March after a long battle with addiction. Please support me and The Herren Project as we work to increase the awareness of addiction and provide support to those still fighting to beat it.

The Herren Project is a 501(c)3 non-profit foundation established in 2011 by former NBA basketball player, Chris Herren, to assist individuals and families struggling with addiction. The programs and initiatives developed by The Herren Project are a direct response to the increasing number of young people across the United States that are experimenting, using and suffer from addiction to drugs and alcohol; or are at risk for such abuse. The Herren Project develops and sponsors initiatives in three specific areas of focus including prevention and education, treatment navigation, and mentoring. Together we can make a difference, celebrating life and supporting one another.
