BENEFITING: The King's College
Dear family and friends,
As members of the House of Susan B. Anthony, we strive to be authentic individuals who kindle life through purposeful relationships. One of the best ways we’ve been able to foster these relationships is through our House retreats each year. These retreats provide a time away from the hustle and bustle of New York City where we can be fully present in each other’s company and pour into one another. It is here where upperclassmen choose to take on the responsibility as a “Big” sister and where first year students get their first glimpse into life as a “Suzie.” A few of my favorite memories at SBA Retreat include jamming out to NSYNC on the car-ride, making a pit stop at Yale to tour a haunted house, and kayaking across Newfound Lake. It was during retreat that I formed some of my closest friendships and made me want to plug into the House.
This year’s retreat will take place October 21-23 at Hemlock Hill Farm in New Paris, Pennsylvania. My hope is that this retreat strengthens the bonds already formed in the House while also allowing new friendships to take root. We are asking for your support as we seek to kindle relationships within our SBA community. We are looking to fundraise $500, which will go towards lodging, transportation, food, as well as lowering the cost for attendance. Whether you feel led to contribute financially, through prayer, or both, all of your support is greatly appreciated. On behalf of all Suzies, I want to thank you for your love and encouragement.
Love & Thanks,
President, The House of Susan B. Anthony
