Carbon Black will be participating in Reebok's Fenway Spartan Race on November 12th at Fenway Park in Boston. We have done this race for the past few years, with increasing participation every year. With such a large group of employees and friends that we anticipate this year, it was a prime opportunity to be able to tie in a cause that will benefit a truly remarkable and deserving cause.
Carbon Black participants will be grinding it out on the grueling Spartan obstacle course to support our men and women of the Armed Forces who have sacrificed so much for us! How will you help?
In concert with Sudbury for Wounded Warriors – [a Sudbury, MA based organization that raises awareness and money for American service men and women returning home from war with devastating injuries such as loss of limb, brain trauma, Post Traumatic Stress Reflex (PTSR) and many other serious injuries.] and 14th Star Brewing Company [a Veteran owned, Vermont based Brewing Company], we are raising money for the Home Base program.
Home Base is the only private sector clinic in New England and the largest private sector clinic in America with the sole focus of helping at-risk Veterans and Military Families regain the lives they once had. By caring for Veterans in a family-based clinic, and by working in cooperation with the Veterans Administration (VA) and the Department of Defense (DoD), Home Base serves as a replicable model to promote the health and well-being of Veterans nationwide. Mass General serves as the medical leader for Home Base and is the top-ranked hospital nationwide as reported by U.S. News & World Report 2014-2015.
