THE STORY:

Noelle Prather wrote -

We are Abbey, Noelle, and Rebecca and for our senior project this year, we have decided to raise money to grant a wish for a young child through the Eastern North Carolina Make A Wish Foundation. This year, on Saturday November 5th we will be having a 5k walk at Halyburton Park in Wilmington, NC that will raise money for our cause. Please consider joining us for this special event. The cost to walk is $30 per participant. Registration will begin at 9:00 am and the walk will begin at 10:30. If you cannot walk with us, any amount that you are able to donate to our cause is helping make a child's wish come true. The reason we have chosen this particular topic is because we all love helping people and wanted to make a lasting impact on a child's life. Each of us have had someone in our lives go through a tough time with serious health issues. When researching this topic, we loved reading stories about different families that have been granted a wish, and we all wanted to be a part of the Make A Wish story and the effect that it has on a local child and their family.
