EVENT DATE: Sep 24, 2016
We created the Step Up for Autism event in 2010 in response to complaints from parents of children on the autism spectrum. The parents were frustrated that they had to travel outside of Chautauqua County in order for their children to receive social skills training. Step Up for Autism consists of a 1.5-mile walk, children's activities, lunch, a Chinese auction, and our famous cake auction. (There also is the Loop the Lake motorcycle dice run.) Money raised from Step Up for Autism supports The Resource Center's SUCCESS program, which helps youths with autism learn social skills that enable them to better interact with family, peers and the community at large. The SUCCESS program is making a positive difference in the lives of people with autism!
Please join us at the seventh annual Step Up for Autism and show your support for those with autism! You can create your personal fund-raising page here. For more info or to register to participate in the event, visit www.stepupforautism.com.
