May 2016 update
May 13, 2016
On August 6th and 7th 2016, I will return for my 3rd Pan-Mass Challenge (PMC), an annual bike-a-thon that raises money for cancer research and care at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI) in Boston. I will return to ride with The Boston Bruins Foundation Team and made a commitment for the two day, 192 mile ride to raise $7,000.
The PMC raises more money for charity than any other single event in the country, $500 million since 1980 and $45 million last year alone! Cancer has touched many of those related or close to us. Many of those related or close continue the battle against cancer each day. This year my ride will be dedicated to two close friends who passed in 2015, Bill Gluck and Dan Ibbitson. Billy was a great friend/manager to me during our Hallmark careers. He also loved his family and community where he was also Captain of the Weston CT Volunteer Fire Department. Billy passed from complications due to esophagus Cancer in November. Dan was dear friend and avid PMC rider, who rode the PMC in memory of his mother. Danno spent countless hours raising awareness organizing rides, repairing team bikes and training others to prepare for the PMC. Danno impacted many riders until his sudden death in November. They will forever be missed by friends & loved ones. I will ride in memory of them.
I hope you can help me achieve this significant goal. Thank you very much for your support.
