ORGANIZER: CHICAGO AREA RUNNERS ASSOC
Well, here I go again...
As you may recall, I ran the Chicago Marathon last year, and despite tripping and falling flat on my face at mile 20, I survived.
If you know me, you know I am passionate about running. I firmly believe that running has changed my life. And I know it can make a difference in the lives of so many, which is why I am running this year to raise money for the Chicago Area Runners Association Road Scholars. The Road Scholars are high school students who are in high risk environments but are actively making a difference in their own lives. These are wonderful kids in Chicago who are excited about running.
Supporting the Road Scholars helps ensure that the runners have new shoes to run in, appropriate clothing to wear, registration fees for the races they enter, and perhaps most importantly, a mentor who supports them along the way.
Please consider a donation to help me support the Chicago Road Scholars. Because, while I may be running the marathon on my own two feet, nobody makes it to the starting line alone.
Also, there is a 100% chance that Meb supports this endeavor.*
*Probably not a true statement. But it could be.
