Dedicated Run: Kavita Dalal
September 13, 2016
BENEFITING: American Red Cross
ORGANIZER: American Red Cross Chicago Chapter
Two years ago (in 2014) I ran the Chicago Marathon with the goal of completing 26.2 miles under 4 hours. I am proud to say that I accomplished this goal coming in at 3:59 (which is roughly a 9:07 pace).
For the past two years I have been trying to improve my mile time and am ready to run the Chicago Marathon again this October faster and stronger than before. This time, I have a little more motivation behind me.
While I understand there are many horrific and saddening events taking place in the United States and in the world, I am trying to help in what way I can. This year, I will fundraising for the American Red Cross to help those affected by disasters.
Please consider making a donation to help me run for this cause. My overall goal is to reach $1,500 by September 15th and $750 by August 12th. I assure you that your generosity will not be forgotten and that you have my full support in any future endeavor you take on.
I will be sure to post updates on my training and am happy to talk more about the Red Cross’ efforts (you can read more here http://www.redcross.org/mo2). Also, if you’d like to join me on a run (even if it’s just for a few blocks) your company would be greatly appreciated.
Please consider donating! Any amount helps! :)
