Joy to the World Kindergarten, Namibia, Africa
Funds are needed to cover the 2016 school budget, provide solar power and to turn an abandoned, bat-infested building into a wonderful dining hall/activities room for the children.
In Namibia many children under 7 years do not have the chance to go to school. In 2008, Sister Gertrude, a loving Anglican nun, saw the need and started a kindergarten for a village in the Owambo tribe. She had no supplies and no backing. Today, with the generous support of friends and strangers alike, Joy to the World is a thriving kindergarten with 70 children. it is making great strides to become self-sustained, and the progress of the children is extraordinary. We urge you to help by donating any amount. Share this link with your friends, family and Facebook, Please ask them to do the same. This is a unique opportunity to support a project run on a small, personal scale with no large organization skimming off even one dollar. The donations are tax-deductible, handled by the Outreach Commission at St Peter's Episcopal Church in Del Mar. Crowdrise is a secure site.
