Since 2006, NUBAA’s 5K Race for Diversity has brought together alumni, current students, faculty staff and the local community to run along Northwestern’s beautiful lakefront campus. The event has raised scholarship funds for deserving Northwestern students who might not otherwise be able to attend and continues to showcase the University’s commitment to diversity. Our Event Strives To:
- Bring awareness to diversity and inclusion efforts at Northwestern
- Bring awareness to a healthy lifestyle by good diet and exercise
- Provide a fun family event for all NU alumni & friends
- Provide exposure to our great University via a large, entertaining college tour
- Provide a first rate event that is open to all of the NU community and the general public
All funds being raised for the NUBAA 5K are to benefit Northwestern University, NUBAA and other national clubs.
This race has applied for and received the Chicago Area Runners Association designation as a 2016 CARA CERTIFIED RACE (CARA16069). This race has agreed to adhere to and uphold CARA’s Best Practices Guidelines. These Guidelines embody the highest standards for quality, safety and comfort for participants in a road race.
