The second annual 2016 Sigma Chi Polar Plunge is an event that is hosted by the Sigma Chi Fraternity at Cornell with the goal of benefitting the community of Tompkins County. In the upcoming month, hundreds of Cornell students will be plunging into the icy cold water of the Sigma Chi pool in order to benefit the Community Foundation of Tompkins County, a philanthropy organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life of those who live in, work in, and love Tompkins County. The organization benefits the community by awarding grants to to a broad range of organizations in the areas of education, environment, arts and culture, health and human services and community building. Sigma Chi and the rest of the Cornell student body aims to better the community around us through our upcoming polar plunge!
