At the Age of 35 I still find myself struggling to be active. Being diagnosed with Diabetes was one of the most frightening things of my life, especially after watching my father pass for Renal Failure. Through our charity challenge I have the ability to overcome why own personal fear of this disease while helping give the opportunity to a Kid with no Physical Education program in their school a chance to be activity. This is my way of paying it forward. I will be the through example of an ex-Couch Potatoe. Please stay tuned as i keep you updated on my journey.
I believe being active directs one's quality of life. I believe our character is shaped by it. Our closest relationships have been made through it.
For the past 10 years, ACTIVEx has helped thousands of kids get in the game while getting ourselves moving, too. Together, we've "fundraced" nearly $500,000 in the name of activity, while building community, character, and QOL.
On this 10th year of the ACTIVEx Charity Challenge, I'm asking for your help in getting physical/health education back in schools through the KIDS in the GAME GO! Grant. The education system, much like corporate America, is the ideal enviroment for providing consistent access, opportunity and the community for learning and living a best-life. Would you support me in doing so?
