I said I'd never run a marathon. I did.
I said I'd absolutely never run a second one. I am.
Why? Because I know the pain of training - blisters, sore legs, aching knees - is nothing compared to what kids are suffering through everyday in hospitals. They’ve lost control, birthdays, and friends. They’ve lost their childhood. They’ve lost their magic.
If they can face their pain, I can face mine.
We have chance to bring happiness, laughter, and normalcy to kids in the hospital, and that makes it worth every step.
