Please support wounded warfighters participating in the 28th Annual Bataan Memorial Death March on Sunday, March 19, 2017 in the desert on White Sands Missile Range, NM!
For the past 11 years, Warfighter Sports has helped hundreds of severely wounded warriors and family members cross the finish line at the Bataan Memorial Death March, a grueling marathon distance 26.2 mile hike in the high desert of New Mexico. Most wounded warriors come directly from hospitals like Walter Reed and Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio and this march directly supports their ongoing hospital-based rehabilitation. They have suffered injuries including single or double arm and leg amputations, visual impairments, traumatic brain injuries and other severe injuries as a result of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
This year, 50 wounded warfighters and family members will participate as part of Team Warfighter Sports. In addition, supporters will also march with our wounded warriors, raising funds which will go to sports rehabilitation for severely wounded warrfighters. Supporters have raised more than $100,000 for the Warfighter Sports program, helping to provide free adaptive sports opportunities for wounded warfighters and family members across the country in more than 50 different sports.
When you support the Warfighter Sports program, you play an active part in supporting their recovery and successful return home. Since 2003, more than 10,000 of the most severely wounded and their families have been served at no cost through Warfighter Sports.
Whether you simply want to donate and support the marchers or join us in New Mexico on March 19, we ask for your support! You can make a donation in support of a particular marcher or make a general donation in support of the entire Team Warfighter Sports team.
Please help support wounded warfighters and their efforts to rebuild their lives through sports. Cheer on their commitment by joining the challenge and pledging your support TODAY!
