Ride For The Living (RFTL) is a 55-mile bicycle ride from Auschwitz to JCC Krakow to not only remember Jewish history, but to celebrate and support the miraculous rebirth of Jewish life in Poland today. This year, the 4th edition of the Ride will have over 200 participants from around the world who will travel to Krakow to participate in this meaningful event!
As not everyone is able to travel to Krakow for this event, JCC Krakow launched satellite RFTL events across North America in partnership with JCC Association of North America. In 2015, 6 JCCs held satellite RFTL events, such as dedicated spin classes, and in 2016 the program grew to 12 events.
Throughout June 2017, JCCs participating in the Satellite Ride For The Living can hold dedicated Ride For The Living spin classes where participants will learn about the revival of Jewish life in Poland and support the Jewish community in Krakow. Donations from Ride For The Living supports ongoing programming for all generations at JCC Krakow.
