BENEFITING: SOUTH NASSAU COMMUNITIES HOSPITAL
ORGANIZER: SOUTH NASSAU COMMUNITIES HOSPITAL
EVENT DATE: Oct 22, 2017
IN MEMORY OF MARILYN BUNSHAFT
Cancer has stricken my family numerous times. My father died of colon cancer at age 58; my aunt of uterine cancer, and another aunt of ovarian cancer; two uncles of lung cancer; another uncle of brain cancer; my sister of ovarian cancer. I have also lost many other family members and loved ones to the disease, including my father-in-law to lung cancer and my mother-in-law to breast cancer.
South Nassau offers the opportunity for families to be treated effectively for cancer right in their neighborhood, removing the heavy lift of commuting for care from themselves and their families. I don't say this just because I work at South Nassau, but because I have seen the true compassion and care that drives our physicians and surgeons to tackle this disease and win. I am asking you to give on behalf of those those you have loved and lost, and for those who will eventually need help. Your support helps programs such as our free wig and prosthetics boutique to continue to help women maintain their dignity and beauty in the face of an ugly disease. THANK YOU for your help - whatever you can give is genuinely appreciated.
