November 04, 2016
BENEFITING: The Arc of Greater Houston
ORGANIZER: The Arc of Greater Houston
EVENT: 2017 TOUR DU ROUGE
EVENT DATE: May 07, 2017
This year I will be participating for the second time in the annual Tour du Rouge. This is a fund raiser for the ARC of Houston Texas and consist of riding a bike from Houston to New Orleans over a period of 6 days. The distance of the ride is 530 miles which is an average of 88 miles per day. The ride is 7-12 May.
All funds raised for the ride will go to support the Arc. The Arc is a non-profit organization formed to advocate for the inclusion of people with intellectual and other developmental disabilities in all aspects of society. They provide services and programs for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Arc promotes and protects the human rights of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and actively supports their full inclusion and participation in the community throughout their lifetimes.
All donations are a charitable tax deduction so those of you wanting to reduce your taxes here is your opportunity. Additionally many companies match your donation so you can help your company or employer reduce their taxes as well.
If I can ride that many miles at my age and (lack of) physical condition, you can make a small donation to the Arc.
