BENEFITING: Cattlemens Ball Of Nebraska Inc
Help us Whip Cancer at the 2018 Cattlemen's Ball in Hebron, NE
The annual gala has a long history of fundraising efforts for cancer research. Since its beginning in 1998, The Cattlemen’s Ball of Nebraska has become the largest cancer research fundraising event in the state, collecting a total of more than $13,000,000 over the years. 2018 host, Randy Hergott, reminds everyone, “It’s for a good cause. We all have people affected by cancer and we want to raise as much money as possible for cancer research.” Ninety percent of funds raised are given to the Fred and Pamela Buffett Cancer Center in Omaha, Nebraska. The remaining 10% are returned to local community health organizations. “It all stays in Nebraska,” said 2018 co-host Rob Marsh about funds raised through the event. “I’m proud of that.” The two-day event boasts live entertainment, gourmet food and refreshments, a fun-run and golf outing, fashion show, a general store, live and silent auctions, a farm & ranch auction, an art show; historical and modern-day displays and demonstrations, and wine and craft brew tastings.
