EVENT DATE: Dec 31, 2014
"20 for 20" celebrates NOROC's 20 years of serving Romanian orphans in Tulcea County, Romania. "New Opportunities for Romanian Orphaned Children" helps institutionalized children of trauma develop healthy minds, bodies and spirits. NOROC means "Cheers!" or "God Bless!" in Romanian, and the programs of NOROC are a blessing, indeed!
Grannies and small group leaders offer relationship and care; tutors and computer skills programs nurture academic competence; psychologists and horse-assisted therapy help heal hurting hearts; medical assistance heals bodies; sponsorships make high school and university possible; and excursions and camps and outings and Bible Studies and worship open a wider physical and spiritual world.
Money will go directly to new lifeskills and job skills programs that will help youth live independently, build healthy relationships, break cycles of abuse, dependency and poverty, say "No!" to networks of trafficking and exploitation, and become contributing members of their communities.
Help us celebrate, won't you? If enough of you send $20 for our 20th we'll raise $20,000. This will go a LOOOOONG way in our environment! Thank you!
