EVENT DATE: Nov 13, 2016
DEADLINE TO GIVE: Nov 30, 2016
Thank you for your interest in Rally Point Arizona and the 22 for the 22 event. Twenty two veterans will hike twenty two kilometers (roughly equivalent to 13.1 miles—a half marathon) to raise awareness of the tragic and significant issue of veteran suicide. Since the event began 3 years ago, we have seen progress being made. The most recent statistics show that veteran suicide has gone from 22 deaths per day to 20 deaths by suicide per day—still a staggering statistic.
Rally Point Arizona trains veterans and family members to help other veterans and family members who are experiencing crises in their lives. Simply put, Rally Point Arizona saves lives. With your support we can recruit and train more veterans, cover more of Arizona with our services, and reach more struggling service members who need help the most.
As you scroll down you will see information about the men and women who will be completing our 22 kilometer hike, and their personal stories that inspire them to help this cause. If you sponsor them, the funds will be used to support the work that Rally Point Arizona is doing. You can choose to sponsor a particular hiker or select the General Donation button to donate to Rally Point Arizona.
Come out to Rawhide on Sunday, November 13th to cheer the hikers as they complete their hike. There will be music, food, and activities for kids of all ages. Or you can register to run (or walk!) in our Run for Veterans half marathon or 5K. Thank you for your support!
