Students of HSPH's Fundraiser:

24 Hours for the Homeless

THE STORY:

According to officials, the number of homeless in Boston is at a record high. The 'polar vortex' has made for some unbearable living conditions, and many shelters have been pushed to their limits in order to accommodate families and youth.

Graduate students at the Harvard School of Public Health will be spending a night outside and volunteering at homeless shelters to raise awareness for the issue. While spending a night in the cold nowhere near simulates the homeless experience, we hope to raise donations for the amazing work done by the Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program (http://www.bhchp.org/) and advocate for expanding access to affordable housing and substance abuse rehabilitation programs.

Thanks for all your support!
