The Story

February 17-19, 2017 Tucson AZ

Most of us have lost family members and friends to cancer, a disease which ravages the body and soul of the individual. Losing someone to cancer doesn’t just end the life of one patient, but affects those around him or her in the void that their loss creates. Until a cure is discovered, there is no better time than now to take a stand and support cancer research and treatment so that no one else has to endure all that comes with a cancer diagnosis.

This year, Wist Office Products and their valued business partners are sponsorsing six different race teams to ride in this year’s “24 Hours in the Old Pueblo” mountain bike race held this February. A 16-mile single track course will wind through the open desert north of Tucson, Arizona as participating teams try to ride as many laps as possible within the span of 24 consecutive hours. We’ll be riding to raise awareness for the amazing efforts underway at City of Hope.

City of Hope is a leading research and treatment center for cancer, diabetes and other life-threatening diseases. Designated as a comprehensive cancer center, the highest recognition bestowed by the National Cancer Institute, City of Hope is also a founding member of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network, with research and treatment protocols that advance care throughout the nation.

At City of Hope, scientists work with doctors to treat both the physical and emotional needs of their patients. By attending to the individual, not just the illness, life afterwards can be fuller and more rewarding. At City of Hope, they combine science with soul to make miracles every day.

The ultimate blessing we have is the gift of time; time to make decisions about what is important to us, our family and our friends. Time for practical things like finances and taking care of ourselves and each other. Time to choose to live each day to its fullest. It's our sincere wish that ultimately no individual or family has to face and fight cancer as previous generations.

Your recognition of our cause and your donation, great or small, is an inspiration for our efforts to make a difference.

Thank you in advance for your kindness, generosity and prayers.
