BENEFITING: Crohn's & Colitis Foundation
EVENT DATE: Nov 08, 2013
On November 8, 2013, I will be turning the big 25 and I would love to have your help in making my 25th birthday wish come true!
As I reflect on the past quarter century, I can only smile to know how fortunate I am for an amazing family, and for incredible friends who have had a hand in shaping me into the man I am today. My best friend, Amber Queen, is one of those many people and is also a true role model to me.
Amber is practically my other sister, as we have been friends way before we even knew how to spell the word. She has an insatiable desire to learn and give back to the community in any way she can. Her amiable spirit and strength are absolutely inspiring since she has been fighting a hard battle against Crohn's disease, a chronic inflammatory condition of the gastrointestinal tract that is affecting nearly 1.4 million Americans today.
The physical and emotional effects of Crohn's disease can be very severe...and even as an outsider I can tell you one thing: IT SUCKS! It breaks my heart to know that Amber, along with many other individuals, are suffering with this disease each day; however, the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation is making great strides in research, and in funding to help find the cures for this awful disease.
With that said, for my 25th birthday wish I would like your help in raising $2,500 in the 25 days leading up to my birthday for the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America. The goal is lofty, but every penny will make a positive impact on the lives of those suffering from Crohn's disease and ulcertive colitis.
Let's make my birthday wish come true!
