Designing Students and Creating World Changers
Organized by: Daniel Eiland
Have you ever wanted to impact the life of a student directly? How about raising their ACT rates, increasing AP scores, inspiring them to go to college, and giving them opportunities to meet admissions reps from some of the top Ivy Leage Colleges?
Our FIRST Robotics Team, Panthrobotics, is doing just that. While we build robots competitively, we are also changing lives by the dozens.
As the only FIRST Robotics Team in the East Baton Rouge Parish public school system, we are working to inspire our students to encounter great things. So far, what we are doing works. 100% of our minority participants graduate High School and go on to pursue engineering degrees. Our students score on average eight points higher than the state average on their ACT. We maintain a 45% average gender ratio. In short - we are building people while we design advanced robotics machinery.
We are working to raise money to help defray the cost of our team building and competing with 120lb robots. Your support helps us travel to regionals in Texas, Arkansas, and even locally in New Orleans. Our final goal? Attending the World Championship in St. Louis. Many of our students are from single-parent households, are on free or reduced lunch, and in order to travel need the help of Sponsors like you.
With your help we can continue to inspire inventors and innovators who will shape our world for the better.
