26 Miles for Teena!
Organized by: Suzanne Elgendy
On December 26, 2013 one of my best girls from high school, Teena Katz, was struck by the 7 train at Grand Central, losing both legs in the accident (more here: www.teenavsthe7train.com). Teena has shown incredible resilience in her recovery and has already taken a few steps in prosthetics, just a little over 6 months post-accident! Get 'em, Teena! Nothing can stop this girl!
This year I'm training for my first NYC Marathon on November 2, 2014. I'm dedicating my 26.2 miles to Teena and will be fundraising to support her recovery as I train!
Teena has had to incur a number of different medical and related expenses as a result of the accident. Your donation will be put toward items including:
-the custom wheelchair that Teena will be using until she is fully able to walk using prosthetics
-prosthetics and prosthetic accessories
-related medical bills
Thank you so much in advance for your support!
