28 Goats for 28 Birthdays!
Organized by: Kristen Zajac
An unfathomable amount of scary things have been going on in the world lately, and I’ve seen many of you mention that you wish there was something you could do to help people in need. I have found a cause that I would like to support, and I need your help.
January 5, 2016 marks my 28th birthday. In honor of it, my goal is to donate a total of 28 goats – one for every year that I’ve been alive! – to the needy families around the world that are supported by the Presbyterian Mission Agency. Each goat costs $89, but they are donated in pairs. In order to donate 28 goats, I need to raise at least $2,492.
Don’t worry – I don’t expect anyone to purchase an entire goat (although if you did, that would be AWESOME!!!). I’m just optimistic that if everyone gives a little bit, together we’ll reach my goal.
Do it because baby goats are ADORABLE! Do it for my love of chèvre! Heck, do it for Tabitha from The Walking Dead! But most of all, do it for the people who need the nutrition that these goats will provide as sources of milk, cheese, butter, and yogurt!
Will you help please help me help others?
