On January 10, 2016 at 27 weeks 3 days gestation, our twins, Jace and Eliana Gorman made their way into our world. Jace weighed just 2 pounds 11 ounces and his twin sister 2 pounds 8 ounces. They had a fight from the start but they would not fight alone. They had the doctors and nurses in the NICU there by their side fighting with and for them. They were Jace and Eliana's family and OUR family, taking care of them, with love, when we could not be there. Taking care of them AND us, with love, when we were there.
Jace lost his fight after battling NEC on February 2, 2016. He will forever be Eliana's angel, our angel, and the angel of all of our heroes who work in the NICU at GBMC.
From January 10 on we knew all we wanted to do was to give back. This is our first step in doing that. To raise money for the GBMC NICU who took care of our twins, took care of our hearts, wiped our tears; who fight for premature babies and all babies that have to start life in the NICU.
In order for them to continue this fight they need to raise money to have the equipment they need to save lives.
