On June 21st 2015, Father's Day, Bohan Ashmore Macsherry and Eleanor Louise Macsherry were born 7 weeks early. Bo weighed 4.8 lbs and required 3 days of oxygen. Ellie weighed 3.2 lbs and was a fighter from the start! Bo spend 12 days in the NICU and Ellie spent 13 days. They were there mainly to learn how to eat and maintain body temperatures. The staff of Gbmc's NICU cared for our precious babies day in and day out. They were there for our babies in their first moments of life when we could not be with them. They fed them, cuddled them, changed their diapers, and loved them for us when we could not be there. We never once felt nervous leaving them in the staff's hands. Each day that we visited we were always greeted with smiles and each staff member took the time to sit with us and update us in a caring manner. We will forever feel indebted to these Angels. Please consider running alongside us (we will be pushing the babies in their jogging stroller) or simply donating in lieu of a birthday present for them.
Thank you to everyone who supported us along this amazing journey.
