We are looking for sponsors to support Team Palmer ETC in the GBMC Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Annual Father's Day 5k for the 5th year in a row. If you donate your support will touch more than 500 critically ill and premature babies cared for this year in the GBMC Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). These fragile babies are cared for by hospital staff specializing in newborn care and require equipment designed just for these very special patients.
My wife, Karin and I experienced firsthand the amazing dedication, personal care, and life-saving hard work that takes place every day at the NICU at the Greater Baltimore Medical Center. In 2011 our twins, Everleigh and Chance were born prematurely. They spent their short lives in the NICU, unfortunately we were never able to bring them home with us.
We found ourselves back in the NICU this year when our son, Talan was born 2 months prematurely weighing just over 3 pounds. Happily, after receiving an incredible level of care for 5 weeks in the NICU he was able to come home with us and is healthy today.
We hope that you will join us in honoring the memory of our children, Everleigh and Chance, by making a donation to the GBMC Foundation and sponsoring our family team in the Annual 5k run. You will be supporting a great cause and helping us to keep the memory of our precious children alive.
