Isabella was born May 23, 2011. She would be turning six this year, starting school and Brownie Girl Scouts, making friends, and experiencing firsts like music class or sports. I always remember her as she was: the active baby in my belly and her sweet voice when she was born. I remember her amazing the doctors with her strength and courage. I thank God for the 35-weeks I carried her around and the precious time I spent with her in the NICU. I also imagine her the age she would be.....and I miss those firsts.
Isabella is one of more than approximately 400 babies that come through GBMC's NICU each year. Help support the start of their lives at our 29th annual Father's Day 5K. With 12 rooms in the NICU, there is always equipment that needs updating, new technologies to incorporate and resources critical for these more fragile babies, who require 24/7 care. Your support can help us provide these resources.
