I am a two time survivor of ALL (Acute Lymphatic Leukaemia) that required stem cell transplant in order to keep the disease from returning. With no unknown donor available the oncologist at PMH sent me to do a half match transplant using my 18 year old son as my donor in Hamilton's Juravinski Hospital. Two transplants later and 14 years of fighting this stubborn disease, I am finally a surviving mom of two teens. My young son (my donor & life force, my young daughter, my strength and the love of my family, friends and teaching community. Now, after so many years of physical health struggles, I face a mountain of financial burdens during my recovery that is taking me to personal bankruptcy. My son needs some expensive tests and requires to pay tuition for university. My daughter is in the process of choosing her university. After 14 years of medical attention and the necessity to run up mortgage, lines of credit and credit cards to keep paying bills and putting food on the family table, my sources are depleted. I am asking for $50,000. To alleviate credit card and loan debt and help my children go to university. Then maybe I can avoid claiming bankruptcy. Can you help my family?
