BENEFITING: Research Down Syndrome
In 2014 Dan and I are each planning to race 321 miles over a season to raise funds and awareness for Down syndrome research. Research Down Syndrome is committed to supporting the identification of the causes of the intellectual impairments associated with Down syndrome and to facilitating the development of pharmacological therapies to improve memory, learning and communication in persons with Down syndrome. 321 miles signifies the three copies of the 21st chromosome that our boy, James rocks.
Dan will be running the Leadville 100 Mile Trail Run and Siobhan will be running the Run Rabbit Run 100 Mile Trail Run as focal races. Other races will include marathons, 50k, 50 milers and the World Down Syndrome Day 21 miler.
