Hello, my name is John. I am 34 years old. I am raising money for either stem cell therapy or walking leg braces. In 1996, I became paralyzed from the chest down at the age of 17, and confined to a wheelchair. I want so desperately to get out, as you would imagine. I am an athlete and an artist. I have gone through several rounds of physical therapy over the last 17 years, but it has been sporadic, and has not manifested into me being able to walk. At this point I have no funding for the physical therapy, equipment, and/or medical procedures needed for me to try and walk again. I need out of this chair.
I was also bitten by a brown recluse spider in my left glute muscle in 2003, causing the muscle to have to be removed. This has left me in physical pain everyday since. I am sitting on it whenever I go anywhere or doing anything besides laying down or standing in a frame, which I can only be in for about 2 hours at a time. I have had to waste hours upon hours laying off of my leg to relieve pain from the pressure of sitting for more than about an hour and a half or two. Please, if you can do anything to help I would be grateful for the rest of my life; a life you would help extend, and that would show that love to others in return. It only takes about 60 seconds. You can give as little as $10, every bit helps. Thank you.
