35 Years of Service....3 Buildings....5 Programs....0 Tolerance for Domestic Violence! This year marks a new milestone for Family Rescue. We are celebrating our 35th anniversary; serving over 78,000 victims; purchasing our 3rd building to increase services; and extending our outreach to 3 new communities (Englewood, Auburn Gresham, and Calumet Heights). Come with us for the next 35 years! Help us again now to raise $35,000 to celebrate this extraordinary milestone. We're asking you to donate $35, $70, $210, $350 or even $3,500 AND to ask 35 of your friends, family, and colleagues to do the same. This new building will do so much more than "house" offices. It will provide a safe place for advocates to provide counseling services to victims and their children; it will provide a space for certified staff to train the next generation of legal advocates, victim advocates, and volunteers committed to breaking the cycle of violence; and it will provide a safe work place for staff and volunteers who work tirelessly each day to support each client who comes to Family Rescue for assistance. On October 16, 2016 Family Rescue celebrated 35 years! 35 years of services to victims and survivors of domestic violence in the Chicago Community. 35 years; 78,000 victims and their families served; 5 programs: Rosenthal Family Lodge, our emergency shelter; Ridgeland Apartments and Children's Program, our transitional housing program; Legal Advocacy Program; Community Outreach Program, our non-residential counseling, advocacy, and prevention program; and the Training Cafe, our training and support program for staff, volunteers, and the community. The last 35 years and the next 35 years would not be possible without you...our generous supporters! Your support has moved us from a one program organization...our emergency shelter, to a comprehensive domestic violence organization with five programs operating from six main sites, offering victims a holistic approach to safety and self-sustainability.
