The 35th annual Spirit Run will take place on Sunday, March 18, 2018 at Fashion Island, Newport Beach. With 13 road racing events, a Family Mile, 5k Family Walk, and a Toddler Trot, Spirit Run has something for every age, from toddlers to grandparents.
Spirit Run allows you to double or triple your fun by offering you the opportunity to race multiple races and to be eligible to win medals and prizes in each one.
In 2018, Spirit Run is proud to be partnering with Southern California USA Track & Field (So Cal USATF) to present So Cal USATF's 2018 Road Mile Championships. For the sixth consecutive year, So Cal USATF has also selected Spirit Run to be included in its Grand Prix Championship Series. In addition to the prizes and medals Spirit Run is offering, So Cal USATF is also offering its medals and a cash purse in the Elite, Open, and Race Walk Mile Races.
In between the walking and racing events, participants and spectators enjoy a Youth & Fitness Expo with a delicious pancake breakfast, other food and beverages, live music, massage and shopping for adults, youth activities, health and fitness information, and a Dog Expo.
The net proceeds of this long standing community event benefit education and athletics in the Newport - Mesa Unified School District.
